AUSTIN (KXAN) — Small hail peppered the Austin area as strong thunderstorms moved through Saturday. A few of the storms dropped rain and up to pea-sized hail in San Marcos, Dripping Springs and the Austin metro area.
Fog and sticky air are hanging over Austin this Sunday morning, with visibility down to around five miles at local observation sites and temperatures parked in the upper 60s to low 70s. Forecasters expect showers and thunderstorms to bubble up and roll through between roughly 7 a.
Temperatures are likely to drop more than 20 degrees within 24 hours across Central Texas from Friday into Saturday.
